The first week of February this year I took a huge leap of faith and did Spring Portraits for my daughter’s school Chico Country Day. This was the 2nd year taking on this huge project and I was SCARED! Last year, there were a lot of firsts, and a few missteps, that resulted in a not so extremely successful outcome. Because of that, I had a difficult time convincing myself to give it “one more try”. I had to dig deep and remind myself WHY I do what I do. I love taking portraits of children because I can connect with them easily and get some great portraits as a result. These black-background portraits strip away all the distractions and allow you to really focus in on your child (which is the point of school portraits, right?!?). I love the whimsical nature of children and by allowing them to “pose” themselves, each portrait is truly unique and special! It was so much fun working with all these amazing kids again (even the tough, stubborn ones)! I am grateful to the Staff and Parents that supported me and encouraged me to offer this unique and special Spring Portrait Event to the school!
If you would like me to come to YOUR school to do pictures, I’d love to talk with you and discuss all the fun details!
